Brookhaven Rest Home and Retirement Village comprises a rest home, specialist dementia wings, and a community of retirement villas.

Rest Home

Brookhaven Rest Home features comfortable bedrooms each with ensuite, spacious lounge and dining room.

Plenty of space inside and out

All the bedrooms in the Rest Home are large and include ensuites. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own treasures and furniture. The well laid out grounds allow easy access to courtyards, lawns and gardens.

Dementia Care

For those who need extra care, the Dementia wings offer a safe and secure environment in which the residents are able to maintain their dignity and independence while receiving the level of care appropriate to their needs.

Emergency call buttons are located in all rest home and villa ensuites.

Retirement Villas

The roomy two bedroom villas are ideal for those wishing to maintain their independence but with the comfort of knowing Brookhaven services and facilities are also available to them.

The villas feature open plan kitchen/dining and lounge with access to a private courtyard. They also include two bedrooms (one with ensuite), a laundry, and a full sized garage with internal access.

Regular group activities and outings

Our Diversional Therapist arranges games and sing-a-longs, to library book exchange and visiting entertainers, which Villa residents are welcome to attend.

Brookhaven is surrounded by lawns and gardens with views to the nearby Port Hills.

A Registered Nurse is on call 24 hours a day. Staff also include specialist Doctors and Physiotherapists, while Podiatrists, Beauty Therapists and Hairdressers make regular visits.

Brookhaven Rest Home is situated in close proximity to Sumner, Lyttelton, New Brighton and surrounding bay areas.
